Other ways to support the ACHA:

1798 Society: those who include the ACHA in their will become members of the 1798 Society.  Members are invited to a special annual reception.  Please contact our Executive Director on how to include the Albany County Historical Association in your will.

Gifts of stock: gifts of long-term appreciated stock to charity may provide an additional tax benefit regarding tax on the built-in capital gain.

Gift Membership: the perfect gift!  A gift membership gives twice: by supporting our programs and connecting the lucky recipient to our offerings.

Donations in honor of: make a donation to the ACHA in the honoree(s)’ name.  We are happy to create a customized card or certificate for you.

Matching funds for grants: ($500-$10,000) the ACHA welcomes gifts for preservation work, our gardens, exhibits, and educational outreach programs.  Your gift helps us double or triple our impact.

Education grant matches: ($250 per program) please let us know if you’d like to match a children’s or senior program or sponsor a lecture ($250).

Archeology Camp Scholarship: ($250) help make an immersive experience for students in need.  Students grades 5-10 conduct a real archaeological dig , have a field trip to the archaeology department of the NYS Museum, and present their discoveries at an open house. Their finds are catalogued and stored at the NY State Museum.

Internship program: (up to $500 per intern) grow the next generation of historians, archaeologists, educators, and curators by sponsoring our internship program.  We provide provide critical hands-on career development for graduate, college, and high school students.
